Mode
Provides the option to select the TRANSCRIBER MODE
The options are:
WORKSHEET Causes the TRANSCRIPT PANE to display in Spreadsheet mode
DOCUMENT Causes the TRANSCRIPT PANE to display in Document mode

Layout
Provides the facility to position the TRANSCRIPT PANE in the Transcriber Window to a preferred position
The positions available for the TRANSCRIPT PANE are:
VERTICAL LEFT Located vertically at the left of the SOURCE PANE
VERTICAL RIGHT Located vertically at the right of the SOURCE PANE
HORIZONTAL Locate horizontally below the SOURCE PANE
If operating in WORKSHEET MODE the RESIZE WORK SHEET option is also available.
This option opens a dialog as shown below, to enable setting the number of COLUMNS and ROWS to be displayed in the TRANSCRIPT PANE

Transfer
This option provides facilities for loading or saving information
The options are:
OPEN TRANSCRIPT
|
Open a previously saved Genota transcript file (*.gtf)
|
SAVE TRANSCRIPT
|
Save the contents of the TRANSCRIPT PANE as a Genota transcript file(*.gtf)
|
SELECT SCAN SOURCE
|
Select the scanning source to be used for scan operations
|

Image Tools
This menu provides facilities for controlling the rotation and size of an image in the SOURCE PANE
The options are:
ROTATE 90°
|
Rotate the image in the SOURCE PANE 90° clockwise
|
ROTATE 180°
|
Rotate the image in the SOURCE PANE 180° clockwise
|
ROTATE 270°
|
Rotate the image in the SOURCE PANE 270° clockwise
|
SHARPEN
|
Accentuates the edges of the image in the SOURCE PANE by focusing blurred areas and increasing the contrast between neighbouring pixels
Each time this option is selected the image is further sharpened. To remove select UNDO CHANGE

CORRECT SKEW
|
Enables the straightening of an image in the SOURCE PANE that is slanted to one side
|
UNDO CHANGE
|
Undo the most recent change mage to an image
|
ZOOM IN
|
Select to get a closer look at an area of an image in the SOURCE PANE
Alternatively click on the image and move the scroll wheel back
|
ZOOM OUT
|
Select to view a larger portion of an image in the SOURCE PANE
Alternatively click on the image and move the scroll wheel forward
