Backup Database

 

This facility enables the user to back up (or archive) the current database for secure storage to an external location. When the option is exercised the database is compressed using a standard .zip  format and the compressed file dynamically named in the format:

 

[DATABASE NAME]_[DDMMYYYY]HHMMSS]A|P].zip

 

All backup files are written to the folder defined under OPTIONS | CUSTOMISATION

 

If the ACTIVE BACKUP option found under OPTIONS | CUSTOMISATION, is checked, the database is automatically backed up when closing Genota Forms.

 

Backed up files can be reloaded using the RESTORE FROM BACKUP option.
