File Maintenance

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Database index corruption occurs with most databases from time to time, and dbIsam, the database engine used by Genota, is no exception.

Power surges, system shutdowns, etc whilst the database tables are open can result in index corruption. To ensure smooth running of Genota, click select the Main Menu option FILE | FILE MAINTENANCE to correct any errors that may have occurred in the data tables.

Again, as with all databases it is highly recommended that a file backup be performed prior to an index rebuild.

Should any problems be encountered after the rebuilding of indexes please contact Genota Support.
